Free Verse: Life Among Stars

In this free verse poetry, “Life Among Stars.”

A subtle night of observing, the sites and sounds of nighttime talking. The eyes and ears. See and hear the stars stirring, a sky sharing a night show. White shooting lights speak in the darkest of night. I feel words rising a canvas surface.

Free Verse Poetry: Life Among Stars

Star’s radiant shine: dimmer.
Then bright. Still, I watch.

Even among the black.
Too much delight here.

A striking meteor fire of white glitter.
Furred wings flutter for bugs.

Owl’s soft who are you.
Coolness collides. Goosebumps rise.

I settle to the distant hum
of wheels on pavement.

September night, a warm merlot.
I listen and owl hoots.

Urban free verse poetry

What is a Free Verse Poetry? Typically patterned by speech rather than meter, this form of poetry is very open to the author’s discretion and usually does not rhyme. Visual and sound effects are often employed.  It can have as many lines as the writer wishes.

Daily Prompt for You:

Poetry – Leaving Stardust.

In this free verse poetry, “Leaving Our Stardust”.

One wants to ponder the thought of what it would be to leave inspiration, or maybe a part of humanity behind. To offer something to be carried forward to our future generations after our passing of time. A little free verse poetry and digital art piece to enlighten.

Image and free verse poetry,

Maybe life is a shining star.
A glimmer of light that shines for awhile,
bouncing off of surfaces learned.
Then to light on something entirely new again.
Maybe it’s a never ending glow
invading all those dark places,
The further it reaches but still never truly gone.
And maybe we’ll find peace in the soft light
when it eventually falls to our final resting place,
knowing our light can’t last forever
but still leaving stardust.
