Urban Daily Haiku: Changes

In this urban daily haiku, “Changes.”

Water…Rippling at the motion of movement. A quiet beach front and gray skies. Perspective is hung in the clouds. Pause is the granules between toes. The thousand moments of prayers, words laced with wisdom, and hopes break through the clouds of change. Peace is the answering. An urban daily haiku on a perspective of our challenging times.

Free Verse: Mirrored Souls

A free verse poetry, “Mirrored Souls”.

Of ourselves, we can become more than one identity. Emotions can make a mirrored image, split from happiness, of anger, of sadness. Or our true-selves, we can see our reflection in the mirror of life. A free verse poetry and a digital image of our mirroring souls.

Mirrored Souls

He must have planted you and me
of the same seed.
Pulled back from earth crust,
placed as one into softening dirt.
Must of have suddenly realized
how unsettling it was
to place that much magic dust
in one being and reluctantly split
that seed in two.
How else is it that I can see,
mine reflection in the mirror.
I see myself looking at you
the breaths you take to fill lungs with air.
The silhouette so fragile, yet there.
Like we just met, yet still, have known
one another forever, if we were not of one.

Poetry – Leaving Stardust.

In this free verse poetry, “Leaving Our Stardust”.

One wants to ponder the thought of what it would be to leave inspiration, or maybe a part of humanity behind. To offer something to be carried forward to our future generations after our passing of time. A little free verse poetry and digital art piece to enlighten.

Image and free verse poetry,

Maybe life is a shining star.
A glimmer of light that shines for awhile,
bouncing off of surfaces learned.
Then to light on something entirely new again.
Maybe it’s a never ending glow
invading all those dark places,
The further it reaches but still never truly gone.
And maybe we’ll find peace in the soft light
when it eventually falls to our final resting place,
knowing our light can’t last forever
but still leaving stardust.

Poetry: Look Back Often

…Helping others is the greatest gift you can give to humanity and yourself. But you can get lost in the lending of helping hands. No point in losing your identity for the sake of another. A Rictameter verse and digital art piece to create the effect.

Often
we invest in
the changing of others.
Whilst neglecting the tender soul
that resides within the self. Offering
huge hunks of humanity. Keep
the reflection in the
mirror. Look back
often.
